…I will be a college graduate. Life does not feel real right now. John Mayer’s “Stop This Train” keeps running through my head and I think about five years ago when I was in high school on the verge of graduation. The process is so much scarier this time around. Mainly because for the first time in my life, I have no idea what comes next. I’ve never been too fond of living in the moment, but it looks like I’m going to have to get used to it!
It’s funny how if you live in Los Angeles long enough, all the honking becomes white noise and you have no problem tuning it out.

If there’s anything I’m more obsessed with than Beyonce and her music, it’s the music she and Jay make together.
I always wondered if there would come a day when I wouldn’t absolutely love everything that John Mayer did musically. It’s safe to say his new album is going to test me. The only two songs I’ve heard are definitely more twangy than I prefer. I’ve never been a fan of country, but I learned to like “Half of My Heart” from his Battle Studies album. My guess is the same will happen for this album…eventually.
I have waited five long years for today. After a long, uphill battle, I was able to say “yes” when the people from the UCLA Alumni Association tents asked me, “Are you graduating this year?”
